Does your child have school phobia?

November 13, 2019

Is getting your child to attend school becoming a constant fight?

Children and adolescents who avoid going to school might be suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder.  Generalized Anxiety Disorder can be associated with fears and stressors alike and overcoming such obstacles may require professional help. Generalized Anxiety Disorder is common in older children and adolescents who avoid going to school.  They worry about competence at school or performance in sporting activities.  They may complain of physical symptoms such as headaches, stomachaches and nausea on school days. If Generalized Anxiety Disorder is not treated, symptoms may worsen.
